Fox News reports that The Simpsons will get its own animated series, The Simpsons Animated Universe.
Fox has acquired the rights to the show, which is produced by the studio’s Simpsons production company, for $200 million, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Simpsons fans are thrilled to hear that The Springfield Neighborhood will get a second season, as well.
The Simpsons Animated Series will be made up of two episodes, with each episode airing one hour, according the report.
The Simpsons will premiere on Fox in the fall of 2019.
