Choose a brand that is passionate about your brand’s mission and values, said Jha.
The brands you work for can help you connect with your target audience and understand what makes them tick.
Make sure to find a mentor, said Kunal Sharma, senior marketing manager at J-Crew.
“The mentors help you identify what it takes to be successful, and if you can’t figure it out, you should be looking elsewhere.”
Have the right background, Jha said.
While many of the brands you’ll work for have extensive brands of their own, J-crew offers a variety of experience and experience management opportunities.
If you’re interested in working for a fashion company, be prepared to work from home, said Sharma.
